It is said that Alchemists who wish to collect Equipment and Soul Shards have a habit of skipping battles against the Lizardman out of fear. Lizardman collected and packaged the gold cards left behind by those Alchemists. Learning from his mistakes of the previous year, he lowered the price to a thirtieth of what it was, and doubled the amount of cards per purchase.
The Alchemists, while locked in a constant life-or-death struggle with the Lizardmen, occasionally pass through the battlefield without pausing to fight. Lizardman collects the shiny, gold cards they leave behind them on those occasions.
